Mommy & Me Special |Reid & Violet

Oh just check out little Mr. Reid and Miss. Violet. I have not photographed these little nuggets since they were itty bitty brand new babies. I cannot believe they are already 6 months old…Yes 6! They have gotten so big…and so cute, too. I was delighted when they came in for the Mommy & Me Special. I was delighted. Their mommy was delighted. Reid and Violet…not so much.

Having a 15-minute mini photo session with these adorable twins was quite the task. Reid wanted to stare at the bright yellow flowers and paid no attention to me at all. He didn’t even care to watch my daughter act all silly nor did he bat an eyelash at his parents. Then poor Violet would cry each and every time I looked at her. Oh the good old “stranger danger” phase is such a fun experience, isn’t it? I mean, common Violet. Don’t you remember me from your 3-day old photo session? I was so gentle and nice to you. You don’t remember that? I wonder why… 🙂

With the session not going as planned, it was decided that rescheduling in a more familiar location would be best. The next session was held in their home. My oldest daughter was able to assist with this session. I will admit, these two get points for round one, but I was determined to win round two. Being in their own surroundings created such a more relaxed atmosphere. They were so happy and gave great big smiles!
