3 1/2 Year Old|Caelan

Three and a half… 3 1/2…Caelan is already 3 1/2 years old. I just can’t believe! I swear it was just a month ago when I photographed her as a baby. Goodness, she has become such a great, fun, energetic, and smiley girl.

We had a fabulous time in this session. We had her dancing around to music just being herself. I love how the silly jumping images turned out. Just a perfect example of how fun-loving this little girl can be. Her mom brought a baby wrap carrier she has used since Caelan was a newborn. She still uses it today. I am just amazed how a long piece of cloth can be wrapped around in all sorts of different ways in order to hold a child. Something so simple that has been used for centuries on end around the world. Guess it proves, if it’s not broken…Why fix it? I think I would have loved one of these for my girls instead of the crazy multi-strapped contraption I used. Goodness, that thing would dig in my side and I felt like Harry Houdini getting in and out of the thing. Ha!

Caelan’s grandparents stopped by the studio. We were able to get them in for a few quick group images. I love how those turned out. So glad they were able to participate. I am loving the bow tie her grandfather wore! So fun!

I asked if I could pose Caelan in a position that would have her looking down in a very simple and sweet seated position. I’ve been wanting to try something a wee-bit different. With the help of some pretty cool photography software, I was able to create an image that transformed Caelan into a precious little fairy princess. I was able to surprise Caelan and her mom with this photo. I think it turned out great!

Well I swear in the blink of an eye I will be taking Caelan’s senior photos…Ha! Oh goodness…Time, please slow down. Caelan, keep enjoying all the great fun and freedom of being such a beautiful, energetic, and kind-spirited little girl!
